Christianity is the most misunderstood and rejected Good News. Many people tend to focus primarily on the law that prevents conversion because the law becomes the only focus. Instead we are to focus on a relationship with God that is true, holy, and, loving. For instance, in my own pilgrimage in discovering Christ Jesus the witnesses focused on the law. I heard how bad I was. This was the worst position to leave a searcher. I felt trapped and alone.  As witnesses we must clarify the "Good News" by revealing Christ person, work, and expose mans need.

Christ's Person - We must build and establish Christianity on Christ, our Chief Cornerstone and Foundation. On the same basis, we must live so we can share the gospel. Most important, it is to establish who Christ is and that He is mans only hope of salvation. We reveal and confirm His deity by examining Christ's claims, character and resurrection. In Christ's claims, Jesus often calls himself I AM. Jesus, on one of his visits to a synagogue quoted Ish. 61 : 1-2 claimed that He personally fulfilled these Scriptures. Stott makes an interesting point, as self-centered as Jesus was, he rebuked his disciples' self-seeking desires and attitudes. I believe Jesus was aware and stating the fact but not selfish as the disciples were. He was only clarifying His true identity as the Son of God. More directly, Jesus exclaimed himself as the Christ or the Messiah as predicted from the Old Testament. In addition, Jesus often identified himself as God the Father's, Son. His statements included concise remarks as oneness with the Father. For instance, John 10:30 "I and the Father are one" and in Matthew 11:27, "All things have been committed to me by my Father. No one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and those to whom the Son chooses to reveal him. "In the gospel of John chapters twelve and fourteen, Jesus claimed an intimate relationship with God the Father.  Jesus' character was flawlessly exclaimed by his enemies: Judas Mt. 27:3 and Pilate in verse 24 washed his hands from condemning an innocent Jesus. After his resurrection Jesus proclaimed directly that He is God: John 20:26-29 and in the Great Commission Matthew 28:18-20 ,Jesus reveals His unity with the Trinity.

Humility's Need - The universality of sin: Romans 3:23: illustrates we all fall short and reveals man's inability for self existence or preservation. Stott refers to the Ten Commandments and how we all miss the mark. Sin has consequences one is that we are primarily separated from a holy God. Isaiah 59:1-2: "Surely the arm of the LORD is not too short to save, nor his ear too dull to hear. But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins have hidden his face from your, so that he will not hear." Jesus teaches that sin enslaves us. Stott states, "While sin is possessive, love is expansive." Without God's intervention, by Christ, humanity is lost.

Humility's Response - The choice of salvation is available to all humanity. People must count the cost according to Luke 14:25-30 and deny themselves, take up their cross, and give up all to follow Jesus. Christ calls people to follow Him. We must first repent from our sins. Admit to God I am a sinner; I cannot save my self, but You, God can. Next, Luke 9:23 says we are deny our will/self as Paul says: I must decrease and God must increase in control of this life. The second part of Luke 9:23 suggests that we take up our cross daily, so we are to deal with the sinful nature by abiding in Christ by the Spirit of God. Phil. 2:10-11 says that all must bow a knee and confess Jesus as Lord, so we have an opportunity to willfully submit to Jesus our LORD. This is worship of Romans 12:1-2. Matt. 10:32-33 says we are to acknowledge Jesus with our mouths and He will acknowledge us before His Father. Total submission is for our sake admit I cannot do anything Mark 8:35-37.  Rev.3:20 reminds me that Jesus is knocking at the door of peoples' heart, so a choice is made to open or close the door. In other words, all people are personally responsible when they choose to listen to the message or reject it. Next Jesus offers to come in and be with us. People need to not only open the door but also admit they cannot save themselves. Jesus is the only way for personal salvation. He is needed by all humanity.

Being A Christian - John 1:12: "Yet to all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God" -- Not by anything we do all by Jesus.
Then we are intimate with God.
